Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for positioning patients, selecting technical factors, and operating equipment to obtain high-quality scans. Additionally, they will provide excellent patient care, document patient information, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain optimal quality scans
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with department standards
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
  • Secure pertinent history from patients for each procedure
  • Comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being
  • Stay up-to-date with current ultrasound skills and new developments in the field
  • Provide instruction and assistance to students and fellow technologists as needed
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registry eligible; successful completion within first year of employment
  • High degree of technical knowledge to perform specialized U/S studies with minimal assistance
  • CPR Certification
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours and odd shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Exposure to radiation and ability to operate portable equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
