Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including positioning patients, selecting technical factors, and operating equipment to obtain high-quality scans.

Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain optimal quality scans
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures throughout the hospital
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies
  • Document department records, including inventory of supplies and patient statistics
  • Prepare patient folders and maintain accurate patient records
  • Prepare ultrasound rooms and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Work closely with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes for each procedure
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent patient care
  • Comply with hospital safety standards and maintain annual CPR certification
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and eligible for ARDMS registry
  • ARDMS Registered or ARDMS registry eligible within 24 months of graduation
  • CPR certification
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work flexible hours, including odd hours and on-call shifts. They will also be able to lift up to 35 pounds and perform patient lifts with assistance when necessary.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
