VAS Quality Control Assembler Job Summary

The VAS Quality Control Assembler plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products by performing a variety of tasks in the assembly area. This includes repetitive and moderately complex rework, product testing, block coding, and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and operate the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Use verbal and written instructions for kit assembly, rework, testing, block coding, and inspection of product.
  • Lift, unpack, test, repack, and document results.
  • Provide support as requested by a Lead.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the assembly area.
  • Help with unpacking and taping of boxes with products.
  • Move material with a pallet jack or on a cart.
  • Support safety initiatives and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure processes are done correctly.
  • Count parts and product accurately.
  • Use a computer to perform testing/flashing of products.
  • Handle test fixtures as directed.
  • Communicate and report work status to the VAS Supervisor.
  • Understand, support, and execute all work in established procedures, methods, and working requirements.
  • Implement and maintain department policies and standards.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with working with electronic devices.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to succeed.

  • Vision and depth perception suitable for use of utilizing a computer, printer, phone, and keyboard.
  • Manual dexterity suitable for use of utilizing a computer.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permit the employee to work in an office setting.
  • Ability to walk and/or climb 5% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for 90% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Light to moderate lifting.
