Medical Scribe Job Description

ScribeAmerica is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will have the opportunity to work alongside physicians and providers, assisting in documenting patient information and gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany providers during patient visits to document assessment and exam information
  • Gain knowledge in documenting patient history, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Navigate electronic medical records and facility computer systems
  • Monitor pending labs and radiology orders for results
  • Review past history and test results to inform medical decisions

Requirements:

  • Commit to ScribeAmerica for up to 1 year
  • Be flexible enough to work 2 shifts per week
  • Ability to type over 40 WPM

  • Generally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, handle documents, bend and stoop as needed, and reach with hands and arms.
