Job Summary:
Graybar is seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to join their team. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will develop new business prospects and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling Graybar products in assigned territory.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently and report potential claims.
- Stay informed about local competition and market conditions.
- Implement sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new products for stock.
- Manage customer records, files, and reports of business transactions, and assist with collections.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as required.
- Demonstrate products after sales when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience required; 6+ years preferred.
- 4-year degree preferred.
- Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to learn Graybar's business and work independently to achieve goals.
- Ability to sell and be persuasive.
- Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel.
Work Environment:
- Full-time, salaried, exempt position.
- Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, or depending on business needs.
- Predictable work schedule.

Compensation:
- The expected annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.
- This position is also commission eligible based on specific business metrics.
