About the Role:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome patients and ensure that all check-in and checkout procedures are efficiently executed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet patients, clients, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner as they enter the facility.
2. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and promptness.
3. Schedule patient appointments effectively.
4. Collect and verify patient and insurance details.
5. Accurately input patient demographics into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring completeness.
6. Confirm vision and medical insurance information and update EMR accordingly.
7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various insurance plans and relay this information to patients.
8. Review schedules to confirm insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure all files are organized.
9. Prepare and submit insurance claims, running reports to ensure all charges are accounted for.
10. Print and organize necessary forms for patient visits.
11. Collect and record all charges, co-pays, and payments in the EMR system.
12. Allocate balances to insurance as required.
13. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
14. Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
15. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to uphold patient and practice confidentiality.
