Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Construction Inspector to join our team at the City of Newport News. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues
  • Verify compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve any discrepancies or concerns
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet expectations
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in construction inspection or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
