We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a key member of our Fleet Sustainment group, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our naval ships.
Job Summary:The NDT Inspector will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing on various components and systems to ensure compliance with NAVSEA standards. This includes interpreting and fully comprehending NAVSEA drawings, working in a team environment with QA and production members, and providing direction and lead others as needed.

- Provide direction and lead others as needed.
- Schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management.
- High School diploma and 6 years relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 3 years relevant experience.
- Able to interpret and fully comprehend NAVSEA drawings.
- Work in a team environment with QA and production members.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior NDT/QA experience using NAVSEA standards.
- Previous Shipboard experience.
- Previous Training experience.
The NDT Inspector must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions, and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise, and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
