Role Summary:

We are primarily looking for industry professionals to impart their knowledge and experience to both undergraduate and graduate students across various disciplines. Courses are structured to meet once or twice weekly for eight-week terms, combining face-to-face interaction with technology-enhanced learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and present an approved syllabus that aligns with DeVry University standards, including terminal course objectives.

2. Organize, prepare, and continuously update all course materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

3. Utilize appropriate technological tools for online platforms and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions to enhance course accessibility.

4. Model effective communication strategies that engage students, clarify concepts, and promote learning.5. Establish clear course expectations by publishing terminal objectives, assignment deadlines, and evaluation criteria.6. Ensure that exam content aligns with course objectives and maintain fairness in grading while providing timely feedback to students.
7. Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:

1. A master's degree is mandatory for all faculty roles, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area for undergraduate instruction.2. Credentials must be obtained from an institution accredited by a recognized agency or an equivalent international institution.3. Subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills are essential.4. Candidates should possess excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional educational environment.5. Ability to collaborate effectively and facilitate diverse group efforts is crucial.

Compensation:

Compensation for the Adjunct Faculty position is determined by academic qualifications, credit hours taught per eight-week session, and location. Pay rates may vary, typically ranging from $1500 to $2700 per session, with specific hourly rates applicable in certain states.
