Job Overview

Position Summary

The role of the Service Parts Associate is crucial within our Service Department. This position involves the procurement, ordering, and timely delivery of parts necessary for various service operations. Responsibilities include researching required components for service repair estimates, managing incoming stock, processing orders, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the unloading of delivery trucks and verify incoming merchandise.
  2. Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and packing items for shipment.
  3. Organize and categorize materials on shelves or in bins according to established standards.
  4. Collaborate with sales and field teams to identify parts required for service jobs and quotes.
  5. Facilitate the ordering and expedited delivery of parts.
  6. Maintain inventory accuracy by recording received and distributed items using computerized systems; assist in physical inventory counts.
  7. Provide support to both internal and external customers regarding parts orders and sales processing.
  8. Conduct visits to parts customers as directed.
  9. Prepare packages for mailing and manage deliveries.
  10. Operate company vehicles for deliveries and pickups as necessary.
  11. Utilize forklifts and stake body trucks, requiring certification and adherence to safety regulations.
  12. Ensure a clean and safe work environment by organizing the warehouse and maintaining workstations.
  13. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times.
  14. Mentor and assist team members and trainees as needed.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe workplace for all.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse setting, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and various materials.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing between 10-50 lbs, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending are required.
  • Specific vision abilities needed include close and distance vision, color perception, and depth perception.

Position Type

This is a full-time role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be necessary for warehouse operations and deliveries.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or parts management is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Reliability and dependability are critical.
  • Experience with inventory management and data entry is beneficial.
