Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Marriott Knoxville Downtown. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in our kitchens, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure exceptional quality and service.
This is a management-level position that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for training and supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory and budgets, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and direct food preparation in kitchens, working closely with the Executive Chef
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high standards of quality and service
- Manage inventory and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus and food presentation
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability
- Ensure that all kitchen personnel fulfill their job functions appropriately
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as hospitality or culinary arts
- 2-4 years of experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Windows Operating Systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
