About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design and implement data models, and develop and maintain data pipelines.

As an Enterprise Data Modeling Specialist at Eliassen Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of the data architecture and working with semi-structured and unstructured data as well as analytics, open-source tools, ML/AI, and data visualization tools.

The salary for this role is approximately $90-$100 per hour, based on the location in Boston, MA. W2 employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, and life insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models that support business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the data architecture.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data technologies and best practices within the cloud/AWS ecosystems.
  • Work with a team of engineers and other architects to understand needs and provide solutions.
  • Manipulate unstructured data in a data analytics environment.
  • Utilize open-source tools such as PostgreSQL, cloud computing, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Build and maintain an enterprise data model.
  • Implement data pipelines using ETL and ELT technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, Informatica, and AWS Glue.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of total IT experience with a heavy focus on Data Architecture.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field/equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the manipulation of unstructured data in a data analytics environment.
  • Experience with open-source tools such as PostgresSQL/et cetera, cloud computing, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Ability to use/code in languages applicable to the project or task order such as Spark, Scala, Java, Hadoop, and/or Python.
  • Experience in building and maintaining an enterprise data model.
  • Experience in implementing data pipelines using ETL and ELT technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Nifi, Informatica, and AWS Glue.
  • Proficiency in data architecture and management tools such as ER/Studio, Alation, Collibra, and DataHub.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data analytics such as Snowflake/other related tools.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with security and compliance.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
