The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$115,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
The Assistant Construction Superintendent plays a critical role in managing day-to-day field operations on assigned projects. This includes overseeing both new construction and renovation of existing buildings, ensuring compliance with VOSHA/OSHA requirements and Bread Loaf Safety Programs, and creating project schedules to meet key dates outlined by the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarity with project details, including owner expectations, scope of work, material & equipment budget, and milestones
- Knowledge of construction best practices for project planning, resource management, quality, safety, schedule, and budget
- Advanced understanding of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP building systems
- Supervising subcontractors and self-performed work, and delegating tasks to support staff on large projects
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- A four-year engineering degree in construction or a related field, or equivalent technical training and/or experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory experience in commercial, institutional, and/or manufacturing facility construction projects ranging from $5M to $15M
