Nursing Unit Manager

The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for managing the operations of specific nursing units at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. This position provides guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care and collaborating with other leaders to maintain efficient operations. Key areas of focus include new grad RN retention, patient experience, compliance with Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement initiatives, throughput efficiencies, staffing patterns, and budget management.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in nursing in a hospital setting.
- 2 years of Charge or Leadership experience.
Skills
- Strong knowledge and skills related to clinical nursing practice.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement.
- Effective and timely oral and written communication skills.
- Clinical program development.
- Basic Microsoft desktop application and navigation skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial aspects of department operations.
Pay Range: $44.02 - $70.31
