Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housing Contracts Coordinator to join our team at the University of California, Riverside. As a key member of our Housing Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff while ensuring the smooth operation of our residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the campus housing application, contracting, assignment, and financial accounting data and processes for a residential population of approximately 8,000 persons.
  • Administer the billing, collection, and reconciliation of residential and commercial accounts generating income in excess of $90 million dollars.
  • Advise residents on fiscal and contractual obligations, alternative fiscal and social resources, appeals, dispute resolution, and penalties.
  • Coordinate unlawful detainer actions with third-party resources, law enforcement, and legal counsel.
  • Participate in campus and department outreach events and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 2-4 years of related experience, including working with online systems, databases, and query tools.
  • Experience working with contracts or accounts services.
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment responding to and meeting the needs of customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying University of California policies and laws recommending write-off of uncollectible debts and resolving delinquent payment problems.
  • Experience working in university housing or a similar hospitality environment.
  • Experience working with billing and accounts receivables and their associated systems.
  • Experience working with StarRez or a similar housing management system.
