Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Project Manager is responsible for defining, designing, and executing technology projects. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as Account Management, Engineering, and Security to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations. Frequent interaction with external vendors is also a key aspect of this position. We seek an IT Project Manager who excels in communication and coordination with clients regarding current and upcoming projects. A solid understanding of technology, business operations, and analytical skills is essential for success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead project execution through optimal resource utilization while collaborating with internal teams and relevant vendors.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Formulate technology strategy and planning.
  • Create detailed project plans in partnership with Engineering teams.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Track project progress and deliver bi-weekly and monthly updates to management and client contacts.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize projects and responsibilities accurately.
  • Design technical architectures in conjunction with Engineering teams.
  • Manage intricate IT projects, including the implementation and/or migration of systems such as Microsoft/Office365, Azure, and network refresh initiatives.
  • Handle resource allocation and project risk management.
  • Address problem management and capacity planning needs.
  • Ensure project completion aligns with timelines and budget constraints.
  • Travel to client locations during project scoping and implementation phases.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in project coordination or management is required.
  • Hands-on experience with IT-related concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably with technical teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, along with interaction through written communication, voice, phone, and video conferencing. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Capable of providing verbal instructions to others and positioning oneself to install equipment, including accessing under desks.
