Position Summary: We are in search of a Heating Equipment Service Specialist to collaborate with a skilled team of six technicians and a master plumber. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to execute essential tasks related to oil burner servicing, troubleshooting, and general maintenance of propane gas and heating oil systems. Additionally, this role involves assisting with the installation of new heating and hot water equipment as well as oil tanks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service and Installation of Equipment:
    • Install, evaluate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential heating systems and appliances powered by oil and propane gas.
    • Conduct inspections of oil and propane tanks to ensure proper installation and adherence to safety regulations.
    • Support the installation of new HVAC systems and oil and propane gas appliances.
    • Identify necessary maintenance work and opportunities for system upgrades.
    • Participate in the regular on-call service rotation.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Engage with customers while performing services at their residences or businesses.
    • Communicate effectively with the service manager regarding recurring service issues or areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts Oil Burner Technician certification.
  • Fundamental mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in equipment repair.
  • Capability to perform basic plumbing tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items and work in demanding environments.
