The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, multi-vendor environment, adept at supporting a hybrid workforce that includes both in-person and remote collaboration across various organizational levels.

Applicants should demonstrate outstanding communication abilities and possess extensive experience in structured IT project management. This role necessitates in-person engagement for a portion of the week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder.

Key Responsibilities:
Leverage the State of Michigan's Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) to create project timelines, allocate resources, and oversee financials.
Prepare presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including executives, managers, and project teams.
Accountable for tracking, managing, and reporting on project progress by effectively overseeing costs, timelines, scope, resources, quality, and risks.

Ensure clear, timely, and precise communication with stakeholders, particularly project sponsors, team members, program managers, and management, regarding project status through suitable communication channels.

Provide leadership and promote collaborative engagement between technical and business teams, facilitating consensus and commitment.

Work closely with project team members to develop and maintain essential Project Management Methodology (PMM) deliverables throughout the project lifecycle: Project Charter, Project Schedule, Project Budget, Communication Plan, Project Status Report, Risk and Issue Management Plans, Change Requests, and Project Closure Summary.

Manage communication interfaces with other agencies.

Ensure adherence to the SUITE PMM and System Engineering Methodology (SEM), facilitating timely transitions through project lifecycle stages.

Oversee the Change Management process in alignment with agency agreements (Change Requests) when project deviations occur regarding approved scope, schedule, or budget. This includes securing necessary approvals for all Change Requests before any actions are taken or information is modified.

Formulate project Corrective Action Plans (CAP) as needed for projects identified as yellow or red status.
Understand project benefits and the implications of change requests on the business case. Ensure related project documentation is updated accordingly.


Review and comprehend vendor contracts to effectively manage vendor deliverables and compliance with the vendor deliverable approval process.


Facilitate stakeholder interactions by clarifying expectations and ensuring all deliverables are assigned, reviewed, and completed.
