Job DescriptionThe Vault Supervisor will be responsible for supervising vault operations, including currency and firearms management. This role ensures accountability and security of all liabilities while prioritizing daily operations workflow. The successful candidate will assist the management team in maintaining the safe, efficient functioning of the branch.
This position operates in an armed environment and requires enforcement of rules to protect premises and property, as well as ensuring the safety of individuals on site. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line supervision to vault employees
- Overseeing daily vault operations, including inventory management and opening/closing procedures
- Coaching and developing employees' skills on a consistent basis
- Monitoring and adjusting staff performance, machine efficiency, and workflows
- Leveraging systems, equipment, and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency
- Securing inventories through strict compliance with security procedures
- Maintaining quality customer service and effective communication with customers
- Ensuring activities comply with company policies, state, and federal laws
- Accurately recording transactions, handling customer inquiries, and balancing daily transactions
- Assisting management to meet branch goals
- Cross-training and performing other duties as assigned
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, preferably in a vault, cash, or coin processing environment
- Age 21 or older
- A valid firearms permit or ability to obtain one
- A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or other required licenses
Supervisory experience in a production environment is highly desirable. Additional qualifications include cash handling experience in secure logistics or banking, knowledge of lean/process improvement methodologies, budgeting and planning experience, and a Bachelor's degree.Key Skills
