Position Overview:
  • Lead a team of up to 10 drivers.
  • Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods across various farm and vendor locations in South Florida, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of drivers.
  • Provide clear work instructions regarding pickup and delivery expectations to planners, drivers, customer service representatives, and customers. Assist with deliveries and movements as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between drivers, internal departments, and external vendors and customers to fulfill their needs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Embody the principles of servant leadership and exemplify the Costa Farms model of Hungry, Hustle, Humble.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on productivity, maintenance, driver satisfaction, and development.
  • Motivate and coach drivers to prioritize safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Oversee equipment management and coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
  • Be prepared to work overtime during peak seasons, including weekends.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a transportation or logistics setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver.
  • Proven safe driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical certification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to lift heavy packages or boxes and move pallets or racks.
