Job Summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Electronics Specialist to join our team at Southdale hospital. As a key member of our clinical equipment maintenance team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating a wide range of clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments
  • Interact with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and develop solutions
  • Represent the highest level of technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining clinical inventory devices, instrumentation, and systems
  • Contribute to initiatives regarding improvement and development of policy and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance in the selection and installation of medical equipment and systems
  • Participate in staff development and mentorship
Requirements
  • 2-year Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience
  • Significant factory-level training in clinical equipment, including specialized training in Dialysis or Surgery
  • 4 years of Biomedical experience in a healthcare environment with advanced training in Surgery (anesthesia) or Dialysis
  • Preferred qualifications include a 2-year Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering with supervised internship, or 4-10 years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for maintenance and repair of clinical devices
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, 80 hours per pay period, with benefits. Some of the benefits we offer include medical insurance, dental insurance, PTO, and 403B with up to a 6% employer match.
