Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead mechanical piping and plumbing projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and adhere to the highest quality standards. This position demands a robust background in mechanical systems, along with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Site Leadership:

  • Direct daily construction site activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, technicians, and other personnel on-site.
  • Guarantee that all mechanical piping and plumbing work aligns with project specifications and industry regulations.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and site evaluations to mitigate risks and maintain a secure working environment.
  • Promptly address safety issues and initiate corrective actions as needed.

Quality Control:

  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate work execution.
  • Examine completed projects to confirm they meet quality benchmarks and project demands.
  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues encountered on-site.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • Provide timely updates on project status, challenges, and advancements to relevant parties.
  • Organize material shipments, equipment, and workforce to promote efficient project progression.

Problem Resolution:

  • Diagnose and address on-site challenges related to mechanical piping and plumbing systems.
  • Adjust to evolving project conditions and implement necessary changes to ensure successful outcomes.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Keep precise daily logs, reports, and documentation of site activities.
  • Track project timelines and update progress reports as necessary.
  • Ensure that all inspections and approvals are documented and submitted promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical piping/plumbing, particularly within HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Extensive background in a supervisory or superintendent capacity overseeing large-scale commercial initiatives.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and plumbing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Robust problem-solving skills with the ability to make swift, effective decisions.
