Position Summary
The Client Support Specialist is tasked with maintaining safety and profitability while delivering outstanding customer service. This role is classified as hourly and non-exempt, reporting directly to the Store Manager regarding the upkeep and functionality of the retail establishment. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional and courteous customer service, addressing complaints promptly and tactfully.
- Employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales while fostering strong customer relationships.
- Accurately process transactions at the cash register, manage cash and various payment methods, and adhere to cash handling protocols to mitigate loss.
- Operate the POS system and other necessary equipment as specified.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment, including basic upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels and manage shift closeouts effectively.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and be available for irregular hours as needed.
- Report any observed dishonesty by customers, vendors, or staff to management and follow established procedures for vendor check-ins and addressing theft.
- Participate in all mandatory employee orientation, training sessions, and meetings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
- Capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as necessary.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes during the shift.
- Ability to exert a force of up to 20 lbs. when pushing or pulling.
- Ability to bend at the waist with some twisting for up to 1 hour during the shift.
- Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands; may require climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage for up to 4 hours of the shift.
Working Environment:
- Majority of duties performed indoors.
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures when working in coolers or freezers.
- May require working in confined spaces and independently.
- Minimal direction and periodic supervision required.
Equipment and Tools:
- Utilization of electronic devices such as POS systems, store telephones, and various transaction machines.
- Use of manual tools including cleaning supplies and carts.
- Handling of various materials including liquids, plastics, and cleaning agents.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales and customer service is advantageous.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Basic arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
