Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst to support its Product Data Systems Support program within the Cyber Mission Sector. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and security of our information systems.

In this capacity, you will:
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, procedures, and directives outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Oversee and ensure compliance of existing information systems through thorough technical assessments and audits.
  • Collaborate with program management and clients to implement security requirements, necessary documentation, and classification management.
  • Provide guidance and training on information systems security, participating in customer security inspections and evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), security assessments, and evaluation strategies.
  • Work closely with internal security and IT teams to guarantee the secure operation and compliance of accredited information systems.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies, advising on their implementation.
  • Manage three Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages utilizing eMASS for system approval.
  • Submit Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for Technical Change Notices (TCNO), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), or other system deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with systems administrators, developers, and team members for issue resolution and clarification.
  • Review change requests for potential impacts on system security.
  • Evaluate System Access Requests for the systems managed by the organization.
  • Revalidate organizational email accounts.
  • Create and adjust security group requests, managing user access.
  • Address cybersecurity-related inquiries from team members within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) instructions, directives, executive orders, and other regulations.
  • This position offers flexibility for telework with some onsite requirements.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated, self-supervisory, and results-driven.
  • Strong organizational skills along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain Security+ certification within six weeks of hire.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD level Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
  • General experience with DoD networks.
  • Current Security+ certification.
  • Current professional certifications such as CISM, CIPA, or CISSP.
  • An active DoD level Secret security clearance.
