Key Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a dedicated Information Security/Privacy Analyst to support its Product Data Systems Support program within the Cyber Mission Sector. This role involves:

  • Ensuring adherence to security policies, procedures, and directives outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Overseeing and ensuring compliance of existing information systems through thorough technical evaluations and audits.
  • Collaborating with program management and clients to implement security requirements, manage necessary documentation, and oversee classification management.
  • Providing guidance and training on information systems security, while participating in customer security inspections and assessments.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), security testing, and evaluation strategies.
  • Working closely with internal security and IT teams to maintain compliance and secure operations of accredited information systems.
  • Staying updated on industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies, advising on their implementation.
  • Managing three Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages using eMASS for system approval.
  • Submitting Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for Technical Change Notices (TCNO), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), or other system vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinating with systems administrators, developers, and team members for issue resolution and clarification.
  • Reviewing change requests for their impact on system security.
  • Assessing System Access Requests for the systems managed by the organization.
  • Revalidating organizational email accounts.
  • Creating and modifying security group requests, managing user access.
  • Addressing cybersecurity-related inquiries from team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) instructions, directives, executive orders, and other regulations.
  • This position allows for flexible telework with some onsite requirements.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated, self-supervisory, and results-driven.
  • Strong organizational skills along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain Security+ certification within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD level Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
  • General experience with DoD networks.
  • Current Security+ certification.
  • Current professional certifications such as CISM, CIPA, or CISSP.
  • An active DoD level Secret security clearance.
