Job Title: Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Specialist to join our team at Veterans Inc. in Worcester. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and counseling support to patients in our licensed Substance Abuse Treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement substance abuse treatment plans in collaboration with patients and treatment teams.
  • Provide support, resources, and education to patients, as well as internal and external referrals for services.
  • Oversee patient activities to ensure compliance with program schedules, standards, and policies.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational client groups and group activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention and follow established procedures in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and program-specific forms.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.
  • Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training strongly preferred.
  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications strongly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a CORI/Background records check and submit to a drug test.
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
