Job Summary

My Health Onsite is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and Escort Patients: Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Obtain and Record Vital Signs: Accurately obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, and waist circumference.
  • Provide Information and Assistance: Offer information and assistance to patients, addressing their concerns and needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Perform Blood Draws and Administer Injections/Vaccinations: Safely perform blood draws and administer injections/vaccinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare Treatment Rooms: Maintain treatment rooms in a clean and organized state, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
  • Maintain Patient Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of patient care information, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
  • Assist Physicians and Medical Staff: Provide support to physicians and medical staff during procedures and treatments, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Perform General Office Duties: Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and completing administrative tasks.
  • Promote Wellness Programs: Encourage patients to participate in wellness programs, promoting a healthy and proactive approach to healthcare.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • MA Diploma or Certificate: Hold a medical assisting diploma or certificate.
  • Two Years of Clinical Experience: Possess at least two years of recent clinical experience, preferably in a primary or urgent care setting.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers: Hold a current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with staff and patients.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate a friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
