Bookkeeper and Office Coordinator

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at the Oak Park Area Arts Council. As a Bookkeeper and Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing bookkeeping documents, and providing administrative support to the Executive Director.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Executive Director in monitoring organizational cash flow and managing bookkeeping documents;
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including tracking assets, liabilities, profit, and loss;
- Manage daily membership administration and provide support for the annual appeal;
- Oversee office technology, including web site development and equipment acquisitions;
- Provide event support as designated by the Executive Director and Board.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role;
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge of social media, Microsoft, and Salesforce;
- Experience in grant writing is a plus.
**Compensation and Benefits:**
This is a 1099 position, with compensation based on experience. The bookkeeper will work 10-20 hours monthly. OPAAC offers a competitive salary range of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
