Position Overview

As a Lead Mainframe Application Consultant, you will focus on delivering innovative solutions for our extensive Issuer Solutions processing environment. Your expertise in mainframe technology will be crucial in navigating complex challenges, defining effective solutions, and collaborating with clients from top financial institutions to design and implement cutting-edge products and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of intricate solutions that integrate multiple products and services with a clear strategic vision.
  • Advise senior leadership on the enterprise-level technology roadmap and contribute to business guidance and consultative direction.
  • Create client-facing conceptual solutions while managing the associated technology design specifications and system-related documentation.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our company’s offerings, products, and services.
  • Collaborate with development teams and mentor junior developers to ensure sustained success.
  • Utilize analytical skills to inform corporate strategy, comprehend technology specifics, and grasp business operations.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, with current skills in software design, coding, debugging, and testing.
  • 10+ years of experience with mainframe technologies including MVS, CICS, Cobol, JCL, and MQ.
  • Familiarity with financial payments processing platforms.
  • Experience in business analysis and identifying solutions that connect various layers of business operations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Optis platform or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with the Eclipse Memory Analyzer Tool (MAT) with IBM extensions.
  • Knowledge of DB2 and RDBMS.
  • Experience with Java or similar object-oriented programming languages.

  • This role requires on-site presence.
