Position Overview:

The role involves a comprehensive approach to the analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of application software developed in Assembler, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and CICS. The individual will support existing business systems applications and collaborate with senior developers and application architects to identify business needs and propose suitable technical solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in coding and assist in the design and documentation of technical requirements for business applications.
  • Participate in 7x24 on-call system support on a shift basis.

Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in Mainframe Assembler, COBOL, CICS, MVS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, ISPF, and debugging tools such as Broadcom/CA Intertest.
  • Strong understanding of Mainframe technologies from both development and implementation perspectives.
  • Ability to comprehend requirements and develop suitable designs and prototypes.
  • Familiarity with BFS domain and Application Modernization is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven capability to identify and resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Understanding of customer support best practices and metrics.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent significant work experience in the technology industry is required.
