Position: Java Mainframe Developer

Location: Omaha, NE (100% onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in Backend Modernization and Java Development.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Proficient in Linux, UNIX (AIX), z/OS
  • Experienced with Powershell, Bash/UNIX Scripting
  • Strong knowledge of JAVA, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, JavaScript, Servlets, JDBC, Struts, JSR-352, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Familiarity with COBOL, MVS, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, FileAid, CA-EasyTrieve, and scheduling tools (CA-7)
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, RunDeck, Endevour, HELM, and Ansible
  • Proficient in development environments such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, and IBM Developer for z/OS
  • Knowledge of data formats including JSON, AVRO, XML, and XPath
  • Experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with AKS, Kubernetes, OCP (OpenShift), Docker, and PodMan
  • Experience with application servers such as WLP, WebSphere, Open Liberty, Quarkus, and Spring Boot/Batch
  • Knowledge of messaging systems including Kafka, RabbitMQ, and MQ Series
  • Experience with databases such as DB2, SQL, MS Access, and Yugabyte
  • Familiarity with FTP/SFTP and NDM

The salary range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by factors such as work location, job level, and additional considerations including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Other forms of compensation may also be included as part of the overall package, such as performance-based bonuses and incentive pay.
