Key Responsibilities- Provide professional clinical care for patients in a primary care office setting, following established standards of care and practices.
- Coordinate patient flow, greet patients and families, and prepare them for provider visits.
- Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens, perform in-office laboratory tests, and enter results into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Administer immunizations and prescribed medications, including oral, injectable, and inhaled.
- Maintain and review patient EMRs, ensuring accurate documentation is available for provider reviews.
- Prepare equipment and rooms, assist physicians during treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Ensure provider orders are carried out, arrange for patient diagnostic testing, and schedule referrals.
- Store medications and immunizations safely, following departmental policy and law.
- Answer and respond to phone calls, schedule patients, and document calls according to established guidelines.
- High School Diploma required.
- Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire date and continue to maintain as required.
- Travel to multiple primary care locations required.
