Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Taylor Farms. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production cycle, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety protocols, allergen controls, food safety and sanitation, food defense, and SQF policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all day-to-day, hands-on supervisory duties, including supervising production floor activities and ensuring compliance with GMP, process flow, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols, allergen controls, food safety and sanitation, food defense, and SQF policies and procedures across all departments.
  • Review previous shift and end-of-week reports to ensure room leads are following correct protocols based on SKU.
  • Evaluate production schedules and labor requirements to provide work direction.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain production metrics for safety, quality, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Perform daily audits and visual inspections of production rooms for safety hazards and process deviations.
  • Supervise production floor activities, ensuring compliance with GMP, process flow, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Manage employee training and required documentation to ensure effective training methods.
  • Serve as the frontline leader for employee relations.
  • Time and attendance management for payroll.
  • Perform daily audits on manual shift consumption of raw materials to ensure items are scanned to the correct locations.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of production team members.
  • Organize and oversee the work and schedules of department leads and team members.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Handle employee discipline as needed, per company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience with Cal/OSHA compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required.
  • 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build consensus around key initiatives.
Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and pivot.
  • Ability to walk and stand for 12+ hour shifts.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in a plant environment with limited climate control and exposure to machinery noise.
