Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist at Pei Wei Asian Diner, LLC, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity of technology systems across both corporate and dining environments.
Your role will encompass a variety of critical functions, including managing Azure cloud services, overseeing Microsoft 365, enforcing security protocols, implementing disaster recovery strategies, managing client devices, and ensuring effective asset management.
Core Duties:Azure Management:
Resource Deployment and Maintenance:
Configure and oversee Azure virtual machines, databases, storage solutions, and networking elements.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Assess system performance, resolve issues, and enhance resource efficiency.
Security Best Practices Implementation:
Establish security groups, firewalls, and access controls within the Azure environment.
Microsoft 365 Administration:
User Account Management:
Create and manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions across Microsoft 365 applications (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams).
Collaboration Tools Optimization:
Facilitate the effective use of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools for restaurant personnel.
Data Governance Implementation:
Enforce retention policies, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance measures.
Device Management via Intune:
Hardware Inventory Maintenance:
Keep an updated inventory of restaurant technology (computers, tablets, printers, etc.).
Device Enrollment and Management:
Register and manage restaurant devices (such as tablets, POS systems, and mobile phones) using Microsoft Intune.
Application Deployment:
Install and update restaurant-specific applications on client devices.
Software Update Management:
Oversee software updates and patches for client devices.
Security Policy Configuration:
Set up Intune policies for device security, application management, and conditional access.
Troubleshooting Support:
Provide technical assistance to restaurant staff regarding device-related issues.
Security and Compliance Oversight:
Windows Defender Configuration:
Set up and manage Windows Defender Antivirus for restaurant workstations.
Security Awareness Training:
Educate restaurant staff on security best practices.
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal policies.
Azure Security Center Utilization:
Utilize Azure Security Center to monitor and improve security posture, implementing recommendations for secure configurations and threat detection.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP):
Sensitive Data Classification:
Identify and categorize sensitive data within Azure resources.
DLP Policy Enforcement:
Develop and implement DLP policies to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
Monitoring and Incident Alerts:
Establish alerts for DLP violations and promptly investigate incidents.
Disaster Recovery Planning:
Backup and Restoration:
Implement regular backups of critical systems.
DR Strategy Development:
Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan, including failover procedures.
Asset Management:
Procurement and Lifecycle Oversight:
Manage the acquisition, deployment, and retirement of IT assets.
License Compliance Tracking:
Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of relevant experience and certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
Self-motivated with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience in the restaurant industry is preferred.
Knowledge of Meraki Network Administration is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This position may require various physical activities, including talking, hearing, kneeling, walking, and lifting.
After-hours and weekend shifts may be necessary, along with on-call responsibilities.
