Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Elementary Education Specialist to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and guiding students in the mastery of grade level and subject area content standards and academic and social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive instructional program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Establish a safe and intellectually stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and academic achievement.
  • Assess student progress on a regular basis and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and serve on staff committees to contribute to the development of instructional programs and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or other authorized personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification in accordance with the Alabama State Board of Education requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions
