Position Overview:We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary Music Teacher to join our team in Florence, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong dedication to music education, the ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere, and a commitment to helping students develop a love for music.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for elementary students.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that foster a love for music and promote active learning.
- Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory.
- Introduce students to a variety of musical genres, instruments, and cultural music traditions.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to promote a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
- Participate in school performances and events, showcasing student talents and achievements.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in music education.
- Bachelors degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Music Education.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with students and their families.
