**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Safety Specialist. As a key member of our Regulatory Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform certification and compliance testing and analysis to support emissions and OBD (Onboard Diagnostics) certification for all vehicles sold in the United States and Canada.
  • Conduct In Use Verification Testing, including tailpipe emissions or evaporative emissions testing on customer vehicles.
  • Coordinate or perform technical information, testing of vehicle OBD systems, and troubleshooting or OBD system issues on production vehicles.
  • Conduct OBD communication system testing to confirm proper data communication to a service scan tool.
  • Develop tools to improve or automate processes, identifying ways to increase efficiency in testing and/or reporting of results.
  • Perform investigations of issues related to the performance of emissions-related components in the field.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, requiring approximately 60% onsite work with the balance being remote work. On-site work will be performed at the Stellantis Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan and/or at the Chelsea Proving Grounds (CPG) located in Chelsea, Michigan.

Requirements

  • 24 hours a week during normal business hours Monday-Friday.
