Machine Safety Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine safety, risk assessments, and safety system design. This role will involve conducting risk assessments, designing safety systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify potential hazards and develop safety concepts to mitigate them.
- Design and implement safety systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to develop and implement safety improvement plans.
- Provide technical support for PLC system integration and plant equipment maintenance.
- Deliver technical safety training and stay updated on safety legislation and standards.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering-related fields, preferably dealing with machinery, maintenance, and/or control systems.
- Open to receiving CMSE training post-hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
- Ability to travel up to 30% throughout North and South America.
