Position Overview:

This role serves as a trusted advisor to Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and other IT executives throughout the category management and sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive substantial cost reductions within the IT Outsourcing category by leveraging all available value drivers, including demand and supply opportunities.
  • Develop and implement industry best practices tailored to this category.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and formulate supplier negotiation strategies aimed at optimizing expenditures, enhancing service quality, and minimizing risk exposure.
  • Oversee complex negotiations with major vendors, ensuring key terms are negotiated effectively while collaborating with stakeholders from legal, risk management, and other departments to draft and finalize contracts.
  • Enhance sourcing model maturity in alignment with industry best practices and organizational changes.
  • Coordinate with the sourcing delivery team to manage high-volume contracts and allocate projects in support of the category strategy.
  • Utilize procurement technology to streamline the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
  • Manage strategic relationships with category suppliers.
  • Oversee both new and existing contracts, driving adherence to standards and best practices for assigned expenditures.
  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers offering innovative, cost-saving, or disruptive technologies.
  • Proactively manage category performance to meet internal savings objectives while reviewing financial models for commodity-type items.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees in relevant fields are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, particularly within the IT Outsourcing sector.
  • Proven track record in procurement, with significant experience in developing and executing category strategies and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to address complex problems.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and best practices in contracting.
  • Excellent relationship management capabilities, fostering collaboration with senior leadership across various business functions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Coupa is a plus.
  • Experience in IT delivery and project management is beneficial.
