We are seeking a highly accomplished Electrical Engineering Department Head to lead our esteemed department at the University of Connecticut. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Electrical Engineering Department's academic and research initiatives, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals.
  • Provide strategic vision, mentorship, and support to faculty, students, and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department.
  • Collaborate with university administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the department's goals and objectives.
  • Represent the department and the university in various forums, promoting our research and academic achievements.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • A distinguished scholarly reputation and record of research accomplishments and funding.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Experience in departmental or academic administration, with a proven track record of success.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to promote these values in a departmental setting.
