Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures, assisting physicians and medical staff during procedures, and providing excellent customer service to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality/cost-effective diagnostic procedures
  • Assist physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required
  • Provide excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, medical staff, and NMMC staff members
  • Attend required in-services, annual review, and educational programs
  • Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations
  • Stay abreast of changes in Radiology
  • Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
  • Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
  • Organize work flow to prevent delays and control cost through appropriate use of supplies
Requirements:
  • Graduate of approved school of Ultrasound Technology
  • Ability to work independently to assure quality
  • Registered by ARDMS or AIUM
  • Registered by the American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Licensed by the State of Mississippi (MRT) preferred
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; required
  • Good written and verbal communication; required
  • Serves patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
