The Respiratory Protection Technician will serve as the primary point of contact for respirator fit testing and respiratory protection training for Health System staff. This role will provide hands-on and remote services for clinical roles throughout the enterprise, ensuring compliance with Federal and State occupational health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct respirator fit testing and provide training on respiratory protection procedures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely provision of respiratory fit testing services
- Develop and implement respiratory protection programs to meet Health System standards
- Provide education and training on respiratory protection regulations and best practices
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in environmental or occupational health and safety preferred
- Minimum 3 months of professional experience in respirator fit testing or administration of a respiratory protection program
- Direct knowledge of respiratory protection regulations and best practices, including 29 CFR and ISO
- 1 year of experience providing fit testing services or respiratory protection program administration
- Professional experience in an educational and/or research hospital environment
- Prior experience handling personal identifying information
Monday - Friday, 11am - 7:30pm
