We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist/ER Tech to join our team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing individualized attention to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient laboratory testing.
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
- EMT certification preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute hospital setting or ambulance service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
