Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist with LifePoint Health, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the laboratory team. Your responsibilities will include collecting and processing blood specimens for testing, maintaining regulatory requirements, and communicating effectively with physicians and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood specimens for testing in the laboratory
- Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures, and standards
- Communicate effectively with physicians and team members about patient conditions, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
Requirements:
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Completion of Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) within 90 days of hire
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
