Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at LifePoint Health, you will provide direct patient and indirect patient care services in a fast-paced office/clinic setting. This role requires maintaining regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures, and standards. You will communicate effectively with physicians and team members to discuss patient conditions, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Additionally, you will collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing
• Provide direct patient and indirect patient care services
• Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures, and standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians and team members
Requirements
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
• Completion of Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) within 90 days of hire
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Language Skills
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
