Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and monitoring of various disease states by performing diagnostic testing on patient samples.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
- Maintain laboratory records and follow laboratory policies and procedures.
- Ensure quality control practices are maintained in the laboratory.
- Work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or Science, and certification as a MT or CLA (AMT, ASCP, or NCA).
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
