At Meeting Street, we are seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience working with families of infants or toddlers with developmental delays. As a Child Development Specialist, you will provide psychological support and services to families, guiding them through the eligibility process and connecting them with community resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with families to establish and work towards family-level goals
  • Providing services to families by establishing and working towards family-level goals, connecting, and introducing them to community resources
  • Serving as a case manager by maintaining appropriate documentation and timelines for clients and providing service coordination among a multi-disciplinary team of therapists and educators
  • Supporting families in promoting their child's development, parenting strategies, behaviors, social/emotional needs, and establishing routines through the coaching model

Requirements for this role include a license as a LCSW or LICSW by the Rhode Island Department of Health Board of Social Work Examiners, experience providing support to children and/or families with complex dynamics and/or high levels of needs, and a valid driver's license and ability to provide own transportation to appointments.
