Child Development Specialist

At Meeting Street, we are seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Early Intervention program, you will work closely with families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays to provide psychological support and services. Your expertise will help families navigate the eligibility process and connect them with community resources. You will also serve as a case manager, maintaining accurate documentation and timelines for clients, and providing service coordination among a multi-disciplinary team of therapists and educators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with families to establish and work towards family-level goals
  • Providing initial contact and introduction to Early Intervention services
  • Performing intake and evaluation of new clients
  • Connecting families with community resources and promoting advocacy
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and timelines for clients

Requirements for this role include:

  • Licensure as a LCSW or LICSW by the Rhode Island Department of Health Board of Social Work Examiners
  • Experience providing support to children and/or families with complex dynamics and/or high levels of needs
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments
