Job Summary

As a key member of the People Services team at Bergdorf Goodman, you will provide administrative support and coordination for various people services programs. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless onboarding experiences for new hires, including payroll setup, I-9 documentation, and completion of necessary paperwork. You will also provide general administrative support for compensation, benefits, 401k, onboarding, performance management, and policy compliance. Additionally, you will serve as a point of contact for corporate merchant, marketing & customer pyramid general associate inquiries regarding policies/procedures. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in conducting audits to ensure compliance, including employment eligibility (I-9), timekeeping, and required legal training. You will also be responsible for administering and overseeing the electronic KRONOS timekeeping system, processing edits/corrections to electronic timecards, and creating a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires. You will facilitate new hire orientation in partnership with People Services team members and process HRIS transactions for all employment life cycle changes. You will also be responsible for employee terminations, including coordinating and conducting weekly exit interviews, prepping paperwork, coordinating final checks, and aiding with the exit process and asset collection where needed. You will maintain confidential personnel files and proactively manage People Services systems to ensure data integrity. You will also assist with employee LOA Management, meet with associates to go over leave process/policies, manage communication with Matrix and updates to business as needed. You will oversee administrative process regarding employee on-site injuries and research, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to general employee inquiries. You will work alongside People Services team to ensure all issues are resolved and escalated if/when necessary. You will perform other ad hoc duties as needed, in support of the overall People Services team.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of administrative support (in People Services / HR office preferred)
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of employees
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of major employment laws
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience with PS information systems; Oracle, Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems & UKG (preferred)
  • Passion for People Services and personal growth
  • Must be available to work onsite in office multiple days per week
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need
