Job Title: Business IT System Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business IT System Analyst to join our team at the State of Montana Department of Administration. As a key member of our General Services Division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional IT support and services to our staff and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide PC and peripheral basic support, inventory management, updates, and liaison with State Information Technology Services (SITSD)
  • Procure and manage PC and peripheral equipment, including Intent to Purchase (ITPR) submissions and tracking
  • Design and implement system architecture, configuration, and administration for COTS, Cloud, and On-Prem applications
  • Lead business planning, analysis, and project management for system procurement and deployment
  • Manage staff onboarding and offboarding, including business systems and technology
  • Provide front-line support and training for GSD end-users
  • Coordinate GSD-SITSD case management and case coordination for help desk situations transferred to SITSD
  • Manage Active Directory and Auria Ops server monitoring
  • Update Sentinel one servers and manage digital records
  • Support cell phone management and user support
  • Coordinate office telephone support and management with SITSD
  • Manage POTS lines with SITSD and CenturyLink
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Business or IT with emphasis on information systems (or equivalent experience)
  • Three years' experience in software application deployment, configuration, and support (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to conduct system analysis and translate business requirements into automated solutions
  • General knowledge of computing, networking, relational database applications, client-server applications, and Cloud services
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute to and take ownership in a project-driven environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines
